Missionary's Dream Contact
Robert Sina, a young man who is a security person at the Casa Italia mall in Tirana, saw our name tags as we passed him in a hardware store and chased us down. Robert told us (in very good English) that as a high school student eight or nine years ago, he was contacted by the missionaries and began studying the Book of Mormon and coming to church. He joined the army after high school and lost contact with the church as he served in various Balkan countries. He's been back in Albania for a month, is no longer in the army, and wants to pick up the lessons with missionaries again! Now that's a missionary's dream!

Wow! I had a conversation with our Stake R. S. President (I'm back in the Stake R. S. Presidency) on Thursday about wanting to have this same kind of experience. I have such good neighbors and Barry and I have tried over the years to interest them in the Gospel. I can only hope that we are planting seeds and that sometime, somewhere their interest in the Gospel will take hold. I wish the missionaires who first taught his young man could somehow know that the seeds they planted are GROWING!

That was exactly my thought! I tell the missionaries all the time not to get discouraged because you never know what may come down the road a bit!
